Day Two of Soul In The City

Day Two started off with a bit of feedback and some prayer. Some good positive stuff.

The street cafe thing is going really well- loads of people to chat to. Someone signed up for the Alpha course. Brilliant! I did my first interview today with a girl who wanted to be on camera. I loved it!

Our refurbishment project has been slightly dampened by the fact that some young lady has suddenly come out of the woodwork (all part of the refurbishment...) with a holiday club that no-one's managed to remember was happenening in the same room at the same time as we're supposed to be scraping, fixing and decorating. This poses some safety issues blah blah blah she's annoyed and is making the team's life difficult blah blah. All a bit political, really.

Betts Park was excellent. I'm guessing there were probably about three or four hundred people there over the day. There was a football competition, a bbq and a hip hop act who go by the name of Mister Mo and Sista V. They were good but sadly not shown off to their best. It would have been better if they'd arrived a lot earlier, done a good soundcheck, been given a much better soundsystem and loads more airtime. I'd love to hear them again- definitely a talented duo.
There was loads going on and I could probably describe it in a much more interesting way but I'm far too tired so I'm going to bed!
