another busy day

9:30 - driving lesson. Today I had to drive down a busyish road to get to the location for roundabout practice. It went quite well actually. Driving is getting less stressful and I have now completed 10% of my hours!
10:30 - home to pack my picnic essentials kit.
11:00 - caught a train to the city
12:00 - wandered around for half an hour waiting for friend who'd missed her train
12:30 - retrieved friend who had managed to lose herself quite spectacularly.
1:30 - caught Manly ferry to... Manly!
2:00 - Had chips and bread and cherry tomatoes on the grass next to the beach.
2:45 - went to investigate a ferry back to the city. We were told to hurry up because the boat was leaving... but it was a jetcat! The daytripper ticket doesn't cover Manly jetcats. However the guys at the gates made us get on. So that was fun.
3:10 - arrived back at Circular Quay (how did we only save 5 minutes? I don't know...) and saw that another ferry was due out at 3:10. Ran along to wharf 4 and ended up on a Watson's Bay, Double Bay and Rose Bay ferry. Spent 1.5 hours cruising around the eastern suburbs (posh area those not used to Sydney geography) on the round trip.
4:40 - back at Circular Quay. Caught a bus up George Street, stopping at Dymocks to look at the puzzle section
5:00 - walk to Town Hall station for train home.
6:00 - home in time to eat sponge cake that Mum cooked with ricotta and strawberry filling. Mmmmmm.
