Have just returned from lunch at Pie in the Sky, which is a pie shop (surprisingly enough) in the wilds north of Sydney (made famous by an appearance in the movie Lantana). The occasion was my grandfather's 85th birthday. In attendance: my mother, myself, the birthday boy and his wife. It was a pleasant lunch, the pies were tasty and the grandparents were pleased. So that's good. My uncle was apparently shocked that we were taking the grandparents to Pie in the Sky because "it's a bikie hang out! They probably sell drugs on the side!" however there did not seem to be any gang activities, unless you count the gangs of pensioners being taken out to lunch by their offspring. I think my uncle is a bit of a fusspot.
