shopping

I hate shopping. Shoe shopping is worse than normal shopping. However the prospect of working 13 hour days does not make my feet happy. So this morning I went shoe shopping. This consisted of walking around Chatswood for a couple of hours, looking at shoe shops and not going into them because they were too intimidating. I did look at some shoes at a department store but it was way too busy and I wanted attention.

I was about to go out when I noticed a nice looking shoe shop. It wasn't chaotic inside, I found some shoes, had my feet sized by the um... shoe person... and bought the first pair of shoes I'd tried on all morning. Done and done.

Then I thought I could try and find some jeans. But it was too hard so I gave up. See Jeans West used to have a fitting system that made me happy. I knew that I could go and buy style #2, size 13, long legs and they would fit me without me having to try them on. But now their fitting system has changed and the styles have crazy names and I don't know what #2 would be and whether the equivalent would still fit me and why are all the jeans funny colours and washes now? Then I went to Just Jeans but they have no fitting system at all. And despite their name, the main focus seems to be on things that aren't jeans.
