Quest: To find a white pharmacist jacket.
Outcome: failure

But it was fun. I drove my car for the first time. To The Shire. A special part of Sydney. Shirefolk are very hobbitesque. Not so much in appearance (with some exceptions) but in their attachment to their homeland.

The uniform shop was slightly hard to find. This was mainly because we were seaching for a laneway in an obscure suburb in an unfamiliar region of Sydney without the aid of a street directory.. We were actually very close when I gave up but then bought a street directory and all was well. However the uniform place was useless and quite amusing in their uselessness!

After that we had an interesting encounter at a furniture/electrical/other stuff shop. My brother was buying CD-Rs and mini discs. However the shop assistant informed us that we had to pay for them at different (although adjacent) cashiers because CD-Rs are "computers" and mini discs are "electrical" and never the twain shall meet between those departments. Quite amusing really!

Next stop was Westfield Miranda. This is the magnet shopping centre for the Shire. It's very... big. With lots of levels. And the same shops as every other Westfield in Sydney. So just a brief stop for lunch and not being able to find the car, then we headed to my Shire friend's house. That was nice.

Then it was time to go home and cook dinner (chicken stir fry with thai chilli jam, cashews, macadamias and bok choy). The End.
