On the way home from visiting the grandparents we stopped off at a shopping centre so that I could get a drink. This turned into browsing through the garden section of K-mart. I impulsively bought a strawberry plant and some silverbeet seedlings. Unfortunately the instruction dealie fell out of the silverbeet sometime between there and here and I don't really know much about growing the stuff. So I just planted them. I planted them in a pot because I like portable gardens. And Dad tends to mow anything planted at ground level. But anyway... surely they will just grow... reassure me here folks!
The strawberry plant can stay in its pot until the weekend. It's a sturdy little thing and shouldn't have any problems surviving for 2 days in current conditions.
In case it's not obvious, I am really not a gardener. My gardening tools consist of two chopsticks and a white plastic thing that came with the rice cooker that's designed for digging rice with. Rice and soil are fairly similar...
But who knows? My plants could grow!!
