Right so I am trapped in my Saturday morning pharmacy.
See after the lady drove through the front of the shop last week, we've had a temporary wooden shopfront with a door cut in it. The door can only be locked from the inside. Which means that one must leave out the back door. Unfortunately between the back door and freedom there is a metal grill door with a substantial padlock which some kind soul has locked, thus blocking my escape route. I called my boss about this pickle and he sounded a bit bemused... he's being a best man at a wedding in about 10 minutes and isn't inclined to do much. He said "um... just secure it as best you can". Well that's all very simple with a swinging wooden door that has no external securing devices. So Dad has gone out to get a new padlock/latch thingy and will be back soon. I suppose I could leave the pharmacy unlocked with the door open but somehow I think that would be unwise and could get me in big trouble with the pharmacy board.
So to amuse myself I am eating my way through the confectionery section and calling my other pharmacies to see if there's anything they want me to nick that is out of stock. My assistant is up the road at the boss's deli making me a sandwich. I always wondered why he bought a deli. Now I know it's so that the trapped pharmacist can get lunch :) Dairy Milk bar anyone?
