I have now been to uni. It was just orientation stuff so not particularly taxing.
My first challenge was finding someone to sit next to. On scanning the lecture theatre I saw someone who didn't appear to be part of a group who also looked like my friend. I figured that because my friend is nice, maybe this person who looks like her will also be nice. She was quite nice. So we hung out for most of the day, picking up various other lone bods along the way including the only person I sort of know in the course (someone who did their undergrad course with my brother who I met once at a hockey match). It wasn't too traumatic after all.
Tomorrow is another day of orientation stuff, then Wednesday is orientation at our clinical schools (ie. hospitals) then Thursday lectures start!
