Semi-sick it is. Maybe my immune system will make its mind up tomorrow. Come on! Sick or not sick! None of this faffing around in the middle. I'm going to be a great doctor :D
So yes, there was a bit of a drama this morning when my mother was driving the brother and I to the station in my car. She couldn't get it into gear... the gear stick just wouldn't move. I wondered if it was something to do with the immobiliser because she was using the extra key I had cut... but no, tried my key and it didn't work either. Gave up and took her car instead. When I was walking down the stairs at the station it occurred to me that she didn't have her foot on the brake the second time she tried. Could this be significant?
Turns out it was! I automatically put my foot on the brake when I am puttting the car into drive. My mother, it turns out, doesn't. My car likes safety. So hurrah! The car isn't broken!
