I was pondering this the other day while considering the issues of how many people will fit into my bird flu/apocalypse bunker. I made two lists. One for the paper itself, the other for the cardboard roll in the middle. The reason there are 33 uses is because that's how many lines there were on my page. Today I am just sharing the paper list:
Growth medium for alfalfa sprouts, mustard or cress
Wound dressing pad (not recommended, but still possible)
Decorations (like streamers!)
For cleaning things with
As bedding material
A toy!
A means of tracking small children (just tuck the end into their trousers and let them roam free!)
Makeshift facemask should the stores of N95 masks become depleted
Insulation
Projectile for discouraging infected intruders
Packing material
Can be recycled into a different sort of paper
Writing medium (I think recycled or some other non soft version would be best for this, especially if using a fountain pen)
Bandage
Clothing (prob 4 ply would be best for this)
Air filter
Coffee filter
Water filter
Blindfold (taking hostages, playing games with children, sleeping on aircraft)
It can be scrunched up and put inside the toes of damp shoes or boots to speed drying time
Absorptive layer in the base of the bird/mouse/other small animal cage
As a padding material in shoes that are too big
The next suggestions all involve a bit of flour as well (you will find this in store room 74 in the bunker) to make papier mache:
Pinatas
Decorative things...
Crockery (may require some sort of finish if required for more than single use)
Educational models (I made an antlion out of papier mache once)
Bricks (Possibly leave the cardboard roll in the middle - the arch/circle cross section in the brick may add strenght
Vehicles
Musical instruments
Storage containers
Jewellery (you like it? It's Kleenex 4 ply with self raising!)
Theatre masks (or for disguise)
