So the essay is done! I haven't pressed print or jabbed a staple through it or anything but that will take approximately a minute. Have I ever mentioned that I love my printer? For some reason we have a fairly industrial strength printer. My brother bought it to print his thesis on. That was about 4 years ago now but I still love that printer.
Today was hospital day. I spent most of the morning at the GP clinic that adjoins the hospital. I enjoyed this a lot. General practice is something that I am considering (not sure about the rest of the world, but general practice is a specialty here now so it's not just a matter of doing your internship and then being a GP) and it was very interesting sitting in and seeing what happens when you're not the patient.
After that I had 20 minutes to find a patient for another person in my tutorial group to interview in a tute later on. It had to be a patient with chronic airway limitation. Now that should not be hard to find. Especially in a hospital like the one I am at where the average patient age is about 97 and three quarters of admissions are for breathing problems (the rest are broken hips). But it was so hard!! After scouring the wards and the rehab unit (a good source of bored people who are happy to talk to students), I made a last ditch visit to emergency and FINALLY found a suitable patient. He was lovely too!
So tonight. It's a toss up between another assignment or doing my tax now that my sixth and final group certificate has arrived...
