So I'm at uni right now. I thought I'd beat the rush and get some text books now and also get my union card thingy that gives me discounts on my chelsea buns. And other things I suppose... should I choose to get them.

Then I popped in to the library to check my email and stuff... and the computer prompted me to type in my library card number. Which I did on a daily basis allllll last year. And I couldn't work out what it was and eventually had to get the card out of my wallet to find out.

In my defence, it is 15 digits long. Although my student number is included in the digits (in the middle no less). Back when I was first at uni, my student number was 000XXXX (with each X representing a different digit. I just don't want to tell everyone my student number). This meant that my student number was only 4 significant figures. Now my student number is 20000XXXX... or maybe it's 2000XXXX... I can never remember how many 0s there are. So that's 7 or 8 digits of my library card number. But it's still another 7 or 8 additional bits to remember. AND the final three digits of the library card number changes every year!

At least the XXXX remains a constant in this confusing and everchanging world.

And apologies to those who found my wiblog by typing in XXXX in search of something naughty. All good clean fun here I'm afraid.
