Dubbo is always further away than I think it is. And it's even further away on a Sunday afternoon because the traffic in the Blue Mountains is erm well a bit like a carpark. We took a longcut that bypassed about 8km of highway and I think it would've saved us at least half an hour, possibly closer to an hour. But we set out from Dubbo at 11:20am and arrived back home at 7:20pm, with two rather short stops (plus a bathroom only stop when the dire traffic situation became apparent). I had a sore driving wrist! It only took about 6 hours to get there...
It was a good weekend. I saw some very interesting caterpillar antics that I may post here if I can work out how to ram the bits together and make them look nice (insert delay of a couple of hours before I press save... I'm easily distracted)... You can watch it here - it's in quicktime format. And it's not very good because it's the first time I've used iMovie or any video software AND it took about an hour.
