I am very very tired. Did I mention that I'm very tired?
So I knew that today would be a bit rushed, with getting home from uni and then going straight to work. I didn't count on finding a little old lady who'd tripped while getting onto the train that I'd just alighted from, who had rather large skin tears on both shins, one of which was bleeding... profusely. As I wandered past I heard someone yelling "does anyone have medical training?!" and saw an enormous pool of blood on the floor of the train... seemed like my sort of scene. So anyway, I spent 20 minutes stopping bleeding, making chit chat, and protecting the poor lady from well-meaning but slightly dangerous onlookers. This was all happening in the vestibule of the carriage, so obviously the train was held up and it was all a bit of a drama. Then the ambulance folk arrived and took over, and I returned to my previously scheduled activity of hurrying home to get changed for work.
At least I know that lots of blood doesn't make me pass out :D
