I just can't work out where the pins go... my father has tried too, so it's not just my girlyness (hah!). Tomorrow the older brother (mechanical engineer) will be here for dinner so I will see what he can do.
Next stop will be my local light shop. If they can't do it, no-one can.
And I found the manual online, it does say "when changing the bulb..." thus indicating that they did intend you to change the bulb. However they give no helpful hints about how one goes about changing said bulb.
