At the moment on a forum I frequent (not SoF), there is a discussion going on about Religion and Medicine.

I have a lot of thoughts about this topic. But I am hesitating about posting because a) I really have a LOT of thoughts on this topic - which ones to choose? b) What I say is unlikely to change anyone's mind about anything c) I don't really have time to engage in arguments but don't want to dismiss/ignore challenges that are expressed to what I have to say and d) there are a lot of sweeping statements being made by both "sides" that lack evidence to support them, however addressing these would both derail the discussion and take a lot of time, which I don't really have.

I think that some of what I would say is valuable... but which bits? And would they be valuable to other people or just to me?

Yes yes, I know I don't have to read it. But it is a compelling topic. Perhaps I will ponder for a few months then report back when I've worked out what to say. There's no hurry :)
