I have bought a new camera. A Canon IXUS80IS. My last one was an IXUS70. The 80IS has just been superseded so was about $70 less than RRP. The salesperson tried to convince me to spend an extra $75 to geta 4 gig SD card, a case and an extended warranty. Um. No. I bought a $5 case from K-mart, I'll get a $10 SD card if I need another one (I think I have quite a few around) and extended warranties are a bit of a farce for items that are generally lost/broken before they malfunction and are not particularly expensive in the grand scheme of things.
It seems to have some nifty functions that my old camera didn't have. Have to work out how to use them though.
I have a plan for what to do if my old camera shows up! My brother has an IXUS50 so I can upgrade him.
One day I will post some photos again. If anyone wants to upgrade the video posting software to allow for flickr videos, I will post some beach videos from today :D
