A few of my tasks for the holidays involve government departments. Today I called the people who give me money for being a student and a) re-claimed my health care benefits (they were cancelled because I earned too much over December/January) and b) established that I will be getting the $950 economic stimulus bonus for being a student who gets money from the government. For those who are wondering, these payments will be doled out between March 26 and April 6.
Another thing on my to-do list is to make an appointment for a dental check-up. Sadly my dentist retired so I have to find a new one. It's hard to find a new dentist because you can't just go and try them out without having to pay much, like you can with doctors. Hmph. And I like visiting my GP because I'm a medical student and hence am dying of many diseases. Visiting dentists is Not Fun At All.
