Hello folks.
I've just copied this from a post I made elsewhere. Due to me being not keen to type it again...
Pooka has had a $254 trip to the vet this morning. The parents noticed she was off two days ago, then they found a bald bit on her and blood stuck in her fur and she was lethargic (but not off her food surprisingly enough!). The dog park people agreed that a trip to the vet was in order, and the vet people said to bring her in urgently, but their first appointment was this morning.
So it was a hot spot (pyotraumatic dermatitis - ask google images or wikipedia if you want to know more) on her jaw, plus a bit on her leg and conjunctivitis from rubbing her eyes. They shaved the side of her face and neck (I'm awaiting photos) and scrubbed it down and sprayed it and gave her an injection of norfloxacin and she has to have oral keflex for 15 days and go back next week for another inspection. Poor Pooka. And I'm feeling very guilty - the poor parents! Last time I went away (Alice Springs for a month) she got kennel cough!
In other news, I have been working on my WISE thing and will hopefully get it mailed tomorrow. If I should happen to fail, I will keep my WISEE posted on progress via stalking messages on their wiblog. But things should go to plan I hope...
