Lychees are very tasty although somewhat fiddly to eat. They are also on special this week. I bought half a kilo this afternoon when I was finding something for dinner and distributed them amongst the family as soon as I got home. I then had the following conversations with my parents...
Mum: Isn't it funny how lychees are all the same? Nectarines are all very different but these are quite uniform.
Me: mmmmm yes
Dad (coming upstairs 5 minutes later): look at how different all these lychee seeds are - they're all different sizes!
Me: mmm yes
Mum: did you hear what Dad just said? He totally contradicted my observations!
Me: mmm yes.
