Forgot to buy a train ticket again this morning. Second time this year. Got off the train at my destination and thought "oh bugger. It's Tuesday". Tuesday is new ticket day. Plodded up the stairs thinking about how a $200 fine could be put to better use feeding the starving orphans and buying new shawls for poor old ladies, approached a relatively friendly looking cityrail guy (this is not an oxymoron. some of them are actually quite pleasant) and explained the situation. He said "Unlucky! They (the inspectors) are here today". He looked at the inspector who happened to be looking the other direction, opened the wheelchair gate and said "quick, go and buy a ticket!". This was quite a relief.
