Sunday was not like a usual Sunday. For a start I went to church in the MORNING. It was my church's anniversary service (47 years) where all the congregations get together an have a big shindig. Well a church service anyway. It was a great service. I enjoyed it.

Church went til lunch time. We had lunch together after the service which was nice. For some reason, 2004 is the year of the egg sandwich. I have a suspicion that my mother may have started that trend (although this year she stayed away from egg sandwiches and made quite classy open sandwiches (an oxymoron?) with all sorts of fancy stuff on them) but it was quite amazing really. Almost every plate of sandwiches featured egg. There was a fair showing for tuna/salmon sandwiches as well as a number of quiches. However the sweet baked goods department had an impressive array of goodies. I quite enjoyed the chewy choc chip cookies and this slice which I've made before that has condensed milk, coconut and choc chips and various other things... mmmmm.

Anyway, after church I can't think what happened. Not a great deal. Oh! I had a bath. Which was pleasant. I think that my having showers more often than baths is much better for my hair. It seems to behave itself much better after a few days of showers.

Then I did my mystery worship of the week. Well it wasn't technically a mystery worship as a) I was not documenting the evening and b) it's a very small church and I am friends with the most gregarious person there but still, it was a church I'd never been to before. It's sort of aimed at Christians in the entertainment industry. That is not to say it is exclusively for such people, but it's sort of connected to bible study groups at various tv stations and drama/performance schools and other such things. I think about a third of the congregation are in the entertainment industry in some capacity. But yes, they were very friendly and I'll probably go back on occasions.

Now I'm home and trying not to think about getting up at the crack of dawn tomorrow. Ah well, next week is the... winter... solstice? You know, the shortest day. Well anyway, after that it's all downhill, except for when daylight savings starts.

Ah no! I haven't managed to get any photos online yet! I've been too busy being idle!
