Today I entered my 24th year. My bosses celebrated this by buying me this very tasty profiterole cake with all sorts of chocolate, cream and strawberry surprises all over it. This pleased me. As did an afternoon spent stamping things. I can't wait til I can reconfigure the stamp to say "Not good enough!!". That will be a great day.

My brothers gave me a keyboard and USB hub. This means that my posture doesn't have to be quite so bad and I can plug more things in to my computer. Like my keyboard for example. It also means that I need to get used to a new keyboard but I seem to be doing ok thus far.

I have realised that with birthdays, there are Rules. Today I have been enforcing the Rules. 8am was presents from parents time. I went and woke up my brother. He protested, saying "I'm giving you your present tonight". I said "No, you have to get up. It's the Rules". And he did. After round one of presents, it is the Rules to kiss the present givers. I duly kissed both parents and was then prompted to kiss the brother. "Nope, he has not coughed up a present yet so no kiss. It's the Rules".

After dinner, my brothers presented their presents (hehehe presented presents). They then received their kisses. My family really doesn't do kisses except birthdays and Christmas. We are not a touchy feely family.

Anyway. I then retired to the bath with my birthday razor (well it wasn't a birthday present but I bought it today so I'm sure it counts) and discovered the joys of triple blades with pivotting head. I left orders for my brothers to "Plug in my keyboard and fix my computer while I'm in the bath. It's the Rules". And they did. I like the Rules. And I only have another 2 hours and 4 minutes to exploit them.
