As mentioned, I bought a digital camera yesterday. On arriving home I discovered that they had given me the wrong box. The one without the battery in it. I called and we arranged for me to go back today and get it. So early this morning (well it was before midday) the brother and I trekked back to the camera shop. There were no dramas in getting the correct box and the guy in charge (as opposed to the guy who served us yesterday who was a cross between Basil (looks) and Manuel (manner) and stuffed everything up in the first place) threw something in the box and said "this is free, to make up for the inconvenience". Yes folks, I got a free Schonend klare Sicht! Das Reinigungstuch fur thre Brille. That's the one. I think it's a cloth...
Anyway, I arrived home and plugged in the battery to charge, played the waiting game for 2 hours til it was all ready to go. I opened the box that had the memory card in it (the extra 128MB one that I had bought with the camera) and saw that it was a Compact Flash card. Not an SD card. Gah! Back to the camera shop this afternoon. I talked to the competent worker who rolled his eyes and handed over a 256MB card. Yay for incompetence!!
