This evening I bought some fruit salad on my way home so that my hands would be full and I wouldn't be able to buy anything deep fried. I felt very virtuous as I sat eating my fruit salad at the station. When the train arrived, there were no seats left so I stood on the lower level, in the centre of the carriage. A few minutes into the journey I smelt a familiar smell but couldn't quite place it.... ah yes! My favourite burger from my favourite fast food place. The agony! To my horror I saw that the offender was sitting right next to where I was standing. Could it get any worse? Yes! The evil tempter finished his burger. I breathed a sigh of relief that I had avoided tackling him and wrenching the burger from his grasp. BUT THEN he pulls ANOTHER burger out of his bag! Gah!!!

As the train pulled into my station and I came up the stairs into the vestibule, I saw a girl sitting on the stairs to the upper level. Eating a capsicum. Yes. A whole capsicum. If only I had settled in the vestibule for my journey I would not just have not been tempted, I would have felt distinctly superior for having indulged in fruit salad instead of a capsicum!
