father's day

Have you all had a good father's day? I bought my father a gingerbread bulldozer. We ate it after lunch. It was absolutely disgusting. Ergh. You know there's a problem when it says "Baked Fresh" on the packet alongside "Expires 30/12/04". Ah well, how were we to know know that it would taste so bad?

Yesterday I decided to start learning Greek again. As it is ooh a good 18 months since I stopped learning Greek for the first time, I started back at the beginning. Eight chapters in one day isn't too bad. Although to be fair, chapter 1 was just a couple of pages on how to learn Greek, chapter two was the alphabet, chapter three was an introduction to English grammar (for those of us who were never taught about nouns and verbs at school - which is sadly everyone in my generation in NSW). But still. I also know 48.55% of the word occurences in the Greek NT. This also sounds less impressive if I add that "and" makes up 12% (or something) of word occurences. But give me some credit!
