Confusion can be disappointing

I keep thinking it's Tuesday. This is disappointing for a number of reasons:

1) Monday is one day further away from the next weekend
2) Tuesday I have to work with stupid R all day. If today were Tuesday, it would be over and I'd have tomorrow with no R at all to look forward to!
3) If today were Tuesday tomorrow would be Wednesday. This Wednesday I get to start late and leave early. Hurrah!
4) On similar lines I am not going to work on Thursday. Now I have to make it through a whole Tuesday and bit of Wednesday before not having to go to work on Thursday.
5) Tuesday is the last day in the week when I have to get up at 6:30am. *Shudder*

But then I'm sure there are advantages to it not being Tuesday. For example:
1) erm... the word Monday is somewhat similar to the Greek word mono-krotos, which means "with one bench of oars". This could perhaps be a useful conversation starter.
2) My brother arrives home late on Mondays so I am able to eat the pad thai leftovers before he gets here.
3) Tuesday night is bible study night. Bible study can be stressful for me as I am the group heretic and never get a metaphorical gold star. Also I have to bring supper tomorrow.
4) My recently disbanded prayer triplet used to meet on alternate Mondays. Now I don't have to go!
5) If it were Tuesday, we would have forgotten to put the garbage out on Monday night and the parents would have killed us when they arrived home. That would not be nice.

Conclusion: There's really not an awful lot I can do about what day it is anyway.
