My mother baked a cake before she went away. A ginger cake with lemon icing. She put half of it in the freezer for my brother and I to munch on while she was away (list of food left for us by parents: meatballs, cake, potato wedges and a packet of tim tams). We actually forgot to eat it. So I just cut myself a slice of it. Unfortunately it is still frozen as I only removed it from the freezer about 10 minutes ago. I let it defrost for... a few minutes then got impatient and decided to try eating it. You know, it wasn't too bad. Sort of cold but not unpleasant.
