I caved and bought a new phone. I marched into the shop and said "Right. I want a phone that fits the following criteria: no stupid polyphonic ringtones; predictive text, no camera or coloured screen and not ugly for under $100". I knew that they would sell me a Nokia 1100. And sure enough they did. I didn't specify that I needed a built in flashlight but that's ok. Maybe it will come in handy...
I have also convinced my mother to have my old phone (with the sim card that came with my new phone). She is very excited. We've been having lessons on how to make calls, how to answer calls and what to do if someone sends her a text message. The answer to all of the above is not PANIC!!!!
