And you didn't even notice that I was gone. I've been gone for so long that my fingers are not used to my keyboard anymore and my typing is worse than usual.
So. Friday night I arrived home from work, ate dinner, loaded a drum kit into the car (no mean feat as the car as a Ford Festiva) and was driven by my lovely drummer brother to the mountains (site of the women's convention of a few weeks ago in fact). Yes! It was the beach mission houseparty! Where we go and... er... organise stuff. As I am yet to commit to mission I was being a cook this weekend. Although, come to think of it, I probably would have been a cook anyway. But that's ok. It was quite a good weekend. The culinary highlights were the homemade cookies and cream ice cream and the pumpkin soup. Mmmmmm. There were no lowlights really. The food was very good if i don't say so myself.
Truanted church last night as I had slept very badly on Saturday night and had had enough of Christians for the time being. Maybe next week.
Then back to work today, feeling rested and all that. Not. As it has been raining all day I think I will grant myself an extra bath. Surely God will not smite me for that?
