You know how sometimes you get stuck in a work-home-sleep-work-home-sleep cycle where nothing much seems to happen or if stuff does happen you forget it because your brain is switched off? No? Ah well. Maybe it's just me.

I bought a book yesterday. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon. Highly recommended. I finished it by bed time. Which is sort of a downside. I have issues with good books that are short. Doesn't seem like very good value somehow. I read too fast. My locum pharmacist bought me The Little Prince the other day. I started and finished it during my lunch hour. I just can't read slowly. Now said pharmacist calls me rainman. Although that is also related to my remembering the phone and fax numbers of all the local doctors.

So yes. Apparently daylight saving might start this weekend. I hope not. I am not ready to sacrifice an hour of sleep yet. I love the weeks before daylight saving because it's light in the mornings! I like leaving home AFTER sunrise!

Went to put myself on the bone marrow registry today after watching a SAD SAD SAD show last night about a 13 year old girl with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. Unfortunately the blood bank opens at 11am on Thursdays (compared with 7am every other day) so I will have to go back tomorrow. I am not sure if I'll be able to get on or not because as part of signing up you usually have to donate blood. I have been banned from donating blood (well "not encouraged to come back") due to er recurrent major fainting episodes. But then as I have donated blood 4 or 5 times maybe they have the information they need already? Or maybe they can just do a normal blood test? Eh will check it out.

Apologies if this has been a spelling minefield. I have written it slumped in my chair, unable to see the screen very well...
