Well. It has been an interesting week. Of the two shop assistants hired last week, one remains. It was brought to our attention that one had been dismissed from a previous job for stealing medications and charges were laid (a coworker from the previous job saw her in our shop and told their boss who called me). In some situations it may be ok to hire someone in that situation (if they had reformed) but not really in a pharmacy... too many drugs lying around. So yes. So many odd things have happened this year I don't think I can be surprised by anything anymore.
Also this afternoon my friend who also works with me sometimes came in to buy something for someone else. She was hobbling. Turns out she'd trodden on a rusty nail half an hour earlier and it had gone through her shoe and sock and 1cm into her foot. I sent her round the corner for a tetanus shot but when she came back within 30 seconds because she's scared of needles I had to escort her there myself. Right into the examination room. And hold her down for the needle. Deary me. The things I do.
In other news my wisdom teeth are to be left where they are. All I need is a plaque removal. Hurrah! And I still haven't paid the dentist anything!
