My wife took the kids to meeting, and I stayed behind. I sat down for a couple of minutes before tackling the washing up - this resulted in my sleeping from 10am till almost 3pm. I daresay I needed it, but it hasn't achieved a whole lot.
I wonder why accounts of meetings attended by other people always sound so idyllic and warm, compared to the knot of tension I turn things into when I go.
Took kids out to the park in the afternoon. We'd planned a first outing for their new scooters, but a flurry of tantrums soon put paid to that. Instead we had a brisk walk, which resulted in fewer bruisings anyway.
I've gone a bit thinky and quiet, my wife says. Oh, and Charlie has begun using the word "apparently." He just puts it everywhere.
