Nice things that happened today

someone was doing photocopying - so the office was warm! (old photocopier which works as a better radiator than the actual radiators - p'rhaps we ought to try using the radiators as photocopiers)
forgot to take my meds this morning so my wife had to bring them to me at lunchtime, which meant we were able to have lunch together
my new :CueCat barcode reader seems to function correctly, though it hasn't been declawed yet. Though the controversy should be long past, the still-clawed :CueCat is like a rhino that still has its horn, and is just asking to be smashed.
my wife went to her first gaelic class tonight and came back all excited
my daughter and I had a really nice time together while my wife was out, dancing to my Amnesty John Lennon covers album
friend F wants our sofa, so we get hers
friend F brought friend R round and we all had a good natter, which was just what I needed
