THE GOOD NEWS: I have finally managed to order a new PC. This is it.
THE BAD NEWS: It has been delayed because of "stock level problems with some components", i.e. they've run out of lego.
THE GOOD NEWS: They're giving me a DVD-ReWriter instead of a reader, to make up for it.
THE BAD NEWS: I don't need a DVD-ReWriter. More RAM would have been more to the point.
THE GOOD NEWS: I really will get it this week. Oh yes.
When my daughter was about 2, she developed a skill for singing slightly odd songs. I was bathing her one night when she began to deliver the now-immortal classic, "I don't have anybody to play with, not a boy or a sister..." Well, we've now sorted that one out. But another one which really stuck in my head from that time was the chant
Good news is bad news
And bad news is good news
Good news is bad news
And bad news is good news
etc.
It was the pc situation which brought this to mind. There are probably multiple situations where Rosie's song proves true. In fact I wonder if she hasn't hit on something quite fundamental.
Hmmmmjust thinking.
