We really like going to major league soccer games. I grew up with soccer as the national sport in England. Despite my move to the U.S. I never really was able to get all that interested in American fotball.
The home team here, The San Jose Earthquakes, are in first place in their division (http://sanjose.earthquakes.mlsnet.com/MLS/sje/index.jsp) At the beginning of the year they had lost a lot of key players so no one expected them to amount to much. Yet, against all odds, they now have the best team in the division even though they do not have any of the MLS star players. I think part of their rankings must be due to coach Dominic Kinnear but part is also due to the fact that they don't lose key players when there are overlapping game times between MLS and U.S. National Team games.
