Amazing Grace

I saw Amazing Grace tonight, the story of William Wilberforce's campaign to end the British slave trade. What an amazing story. I was so exhausted by the end, it was a bit of an emotional roller coaster ride. It was so inspiring. What I find totally amazing was a small boy goes to church with his aunt where he is inspired by the preacher who had been the captain of a slave ship, he goes off to uni, becomes friends with the man who would become prime minister, is elected to parliament at a very young age, while his friend becomes prime minister also at a young age (24 I think), which is all a good thing, cos it takes 20 years to get the slave trade abolished. Plus there's a heap of supporters helping him out, who all live around him. So many people involved, all such a God-incidence, it had to planned.
Amazing.
