Taddies

I've got a new webcam. It sits in the top of the computer staring at me. I don't like being watched.

I've planted my cucumbers and zucchini today. I turned my fledgling compost heap into a garden. The compost had so much straw in it, I figured it was pretty much like a no dig garden. Mixed in some chicken poo, dug some holes in it, dumped in some soil and planted plants. We'll see how we go.

I got the soil from the start of our frog bog. Our local community frog bog has tadpoles in it! We went to a talk with a very knowledgeable guy who said, if you don't rescue those tadpoles from that minuscule puddle today before another hot day tomorrow, they will be dead. So 8am Sunday morning I'm carting a huge tub, and 40 litres of water and frozen lettuce up to the dried out frog bog to rescue the taddies.

I'm proud to report the taddies are still alive, and growing nice and fat. A few in the little puddle are still alive too, after it rained on Monday.
