At 11.45pm last night, I remembered how to tidy. I used the sweeper method. Started at one side of the bench and moved towards the other, picking up one thing and putting it away. It was great. I cleaned the stove and did the dishes, moved on to the dining table, the vacuuming and finished with the toilet. The whole toilet, not just the bowl, but the inside, outside, floor, the whole fairdinkum lot. I finished at 3am.
Then this morning I went to church. Again! Twice in two weeks. It was boring. Then we had our small group meeting. It was great. We had a BBQ and sat outside, and had communion with cheesecake and orange juice. One of the kids was not happy that the juice was not red. One or two adults struggled with the concept of using cheesecake.
I'm excited 'cos we had communion Previously we'd read everything we could find in the bible about communion, and decided we should have it every time we meet, over our normal meal, and involve anyone who wants to remember Jesus' death and his 'coming alive again.' So we did. And even more exciting, the person who led it used their own words, and it was so beautiful, and so ordinary.
We shared what God is teaching us, and prayed for people. Cool.
