My top 5 picks for this weeks Blogger Idol are over there on the left. Scroll over them to get a brief description. The topic was travel, and it got me thinking about all the different journeys I've been on.
My blog is a bit of a travel diary for my sabbatical of the last 6 months. Re-reading some of it today, it felt a little desperate. I feel quite content with my quieter life now. I think I'm learning to let some things go, and leave some things to other people. I wonder what my house mates would think about that?
I was on a 5 month plan to work out how to do housework. I got some help from The Fly Lady and some of her techniques worked. But no polishing the sink! I've let it slip quite a bit for the last month. I might have to go back to the butcher paper lists stuck up on the kitchen wall. But when the big 24th of December cleanup came, I was quite calm, and knew that it was possible. I think I'll make my January goal to de-clutter some more, clean out some more cupboards, give some more things away. What do I need all this stuff for? Maybe I should try to do some washing too. I've never got a handle washing...
There was no plan (that I knew of anyway) I never mapped it all out, I never read 100 books. I guess that, seeing my last entry, I did watch some clouds go by. Cool. There's no plans yet for the next leg of my journey, which I think is the way that it's meant to be... and I'm just a little scared by that!;-)
