Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness. You mean I have to fit people into my schedule? I've spent six months hibernating, learning how to schedule housekeeping into my day, and now I have to fit people in? How am I supposed to do that?
I heard again today about 'big rocks'. It's a Franklin Covey time management thing. You've got big rocks, little rocks and sand to fit into a container. If you start with the sand and little rocks, you won't have room for the big rocks. Start with the big rocks and you can fit the little rocks around them and shake in the sand. Surprise, surprise, it's an analogy! If the things that are most important to me are going to get done, I have to do them first, and fill in the other things around that. So today, first thing I headed off to the city to drop off a house warming present. Now it's 11pm and I've just finished the dishes.
Now with what do I symbolise housekeeping: Big rocks, little rocks, or sand?
I still have no answer.
And what's that got to do with my goodness?
