No strange rituals this week

As it turns out, no minister, so no communion. I'll have to wait for another week. Regarding my concerns about communion voiced the other day, I also didn't want to kneel before people whom I consider my equals. Which is obviously a pretty big issue for me considering the Christian way of life has quite a lot to say about humbling yourself before others, and I am a Christian.

I had lunch sitting outside at the bakery. My attempts at being part of the local community have paid off. I had a lovely chat to the mechanic, fruit shop owner and other passing locals. Meanwhile two groups from the church sat inside and stared at me some more. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you to the lovely lady from church who pulled up a chair and joined me for a little while. Church communities are hard to break into. But I guess Sunday morning is not designed for relationship building. For a start, there's a lot more people, all sitting, staring at the front. Secondly, with the exception of Jesus, I don't have a lot in common with most of these people.

I'm not going to judge any of these people. I am not going to expect anything of these people.
I am going to try and get to know the hopes and dreams of these people. I am going to love these people.
