Fantastic apple fritters

I had these apple fritters for tea and I'm so excited that I have to share it with you. They're from some Applewood Farm Restautrant where they apparently make 5000 a day. I had my doubts about that, but then again, they were fantastic.

Here's my version

Combine
1/2 cup milk
1 egg
2 tbs melted butter
rind and juice of half an orange (it was a very big orange)
three granny smith apples chopped. Leave skin on.
1 tiny tin creamed corn
1/2 a very finely grated zucchini (It was dinner after all)
I think some cinnamon would be good

Then combine
2/3 cup plain flour
1/3 cup rye flour
1/3 cup of cornflour
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbs baking powder

Mix the two mixtures.
Shallow fry spoonfuls in hot olive oil.
Place on absorbant kitchen paper towel. (I actually had some!)
Eat for dinner.
Yum.
Eat for breakfast.
Still yum.
