Is this woman a pastoring type, or what?

I went to a workshop this morning. The facilitator had for each person lollies, a flower and a little tract entitled "You are special." Then she opened in prayer. I thought it all very strange to be bringing all this to a two hour workshop. But it was really nice. Why would she not talk to God at the beginning? He's there. I thought it was good to acknowledge him. She was so calm, had a quiet little chat to him, and asked for help for herself.

During the workshop she said that she'd had some comments from people who didn't agree with one of her illustrations. So she found another, and now uses both. During her talk, at various times she said things like, "That's fine, it's your right to follow your beliefs (which she said in an understanding and comforting way), I don't want to offend people, and I try to be accomodating." I thought it was so refreshing. So much better than the, "well that's your problem" approach that I have encountered here with other people.

I try to be like that. I get it right sometimes. I know it's so much harder, and everything takes longer when trying to accomodate everyone. I appreciate this lady's efforts, and concern for people. And, now I feel good, and I don't feel like I need to rage against the machine. This is a good thing.
