London explosions

I heard on the radio that 'something' had happened at a train station in London. There were conflicting reports, something about 'a bang', something about 'nothing to worry about,' something about, 'we'll have to wait and see'. It's so far away. Why are they reporting about London. Then it's all over the tele, glimpses here and there about explosions on the bus and trains, sight of CPR being done on an unconscious man, naked from what I can see, arms limp, flailing around as they beat at his chest. 'I didn't want to see that,' I think. I jump on the wibsite. Is everyone O.K.? No news yet. The phone rings. My heart races. Suddenly I remember my aunty is in London. She's just come down from Scotland. What if she's dead? How will my grandmother cope? My grandmother is going to be having an attack she's going to be so worried. Is this what it's like if you live in London? What is it like if your family goes to work everyday on the train?
How many people here are going to drive to work tomorrow? Channel 10's gone on with Law and Order. Channel 7 a bit later goes back to the cricket. There's this strange sense that everything is the same, and yet everything is different, like reality has shifted a bit in a different part of the puzzle, so that the picture is different now.
