Back from Sydney

I'm back from my little trip to Sydney. I did an hours work and then was free to enjoy a whole day. It was lovely. I can't post all the great things I did on the message boards since I don't know my password. I can start a thread without knowing my password, but I can't reply.

Thanks for your suggestions Ian and Deeleea. I went to the Rocks museum (great), the museum of contemporary art (funny how temporary is in that word) where I watched an orchestral performance of 4:33 - 4 minutes 33 seconds of music when there is no music - ie silence. I wandered through the botanic gardens. I did a brief tour of the NSW art gallery although I ran out of time to go to St Mary's. I was so close, but there just wasn't enough time. I ate in La Renaissance french patisserie where the staff and almost all the customers seemed to speak French, had fish and chips at Doyles, walked across the bridge and went to the bridge museum which I thought was fascinating. Regardless of how much money it costs, there is no way I'd climb it.

Then, although I wasn't going to, I was running out of time to get back to my ride to the airport, so I jumped on a ferry to go to Kirribilli.

The weather was fantastic. 16 beautiful degrees and sunshine. I'm glad I had my coat, but I certainly wasn't shivering in it, and I didn't need a scarf and beanie, so I was in paradise.

I said a little hello and goodbye to all you Sydney wibbloggers as I flew over Sydney. It was a bit sad to go all that way and not be able to say hello. Next time, maybe with a bit more planning, we can work something out.
