Last time I went on a retreat I (again) sat where I thought God wanted me to sit. I sat under a huge tree, with a branch that grew almost along the ground before the leaves reached up to the sky. I tried to see the meaning, but was told Don't look for meaning, just sit. It was nice. Later in a prayer time God said through another lady, God wants to prune you to turn you into a strong branch on the tree.
Today I saw a tree that reminded me of this. I could see a burnt piece of tree, all black from a previous bushfire (the fire sweeps through, burning leaves and the outside of the tree. Not long after, new leaves spring out and it starts to grow again) The new bark grew all around it. I knelt in front of it and asked God to do whatever He wants to make me strong in him.
