14 minutes til my battery dies. 1 hour 14 min til tomorrow. Better get in quick before I miss my daily blogging challenge.
I'm reporting on food again. I love it. I had lasagne, and mashed potato and kale for dinner with bundt cake with Belgian chocolate icing for dessert. Delicious. I've never had kale before, and I was guessing that I was going to hate it, being described as like silverbeet but tougher. Having already declined the beans, I thought it polite to eat the kale. I smothered it in butter, and it was delicious. I think I'll have to grow that instead of silverbeet. According to my (well, Jackie French's) backyard self-sufficiency book I would need 24 silverbeet to keep 2 people going for a year. I don't know about kale.
Still haven't planted the orange tree, but I did collect fire wood.
6th day of almost non-stop rain today. I wish we had a water tank, to save all this rain up for a ... well ... dry day.
