Actually, I only planted 57 leeks. I didn't count the ones I shoved in one big hole since I was sick of planting them.
I think it was probably the snow that killed the pumpkins. There's just not supposed to be snow, well... ever here, but no snow when pumpkins are growing, I think that's supposed to be at harvest time. I'm sure our American friends renowned for their pumpkin growing could tell me. Although what we call pumpkin, I think you would call squash.
