Merry Christmas everyone!

Woke to pouring rain and rolling thunder. Rain for the second day in a row. It's a Christmas present from God. We went and played in the rain. It's so amazing to be wet, and to smell all the dust being washed away. And the grass turns green again after one days rain. Amazing. After a week of high 30's and low 40's, we've got rain, thunder and snow predicted for the mountains!

And the best part is the rain has lessened the severity of the bushfires, allowing half the fire fighters to go home for Christmas.

Church last night, where we sang carols at the end. No music, just everyone's lifted voices. It was beautiful. And proves that we can all sing. Home at 1 am, after eating some of the Christmas presents we were given. During my rather desperate moments of fasting I asked God for a box of chocolates for Christmas. I got some! I ate 5 choccies on the way home. Then I felt a bit sick.

Lunch today with all the family is roast Chicken, ham, prawns, roast veges, mango and spinach salad, pudding, custard and trifle for dessert. And my mum and dad are coming with the 'santa sacks' full of presents for us all. Which is a little ridiculous once one is over 30 don't you think? But I am looking forward to the new T-shirt I picked out to go into the santa sack.

We've put Jesus into the manger on our little nativity, which was hand carved by a workshop in ....wait for it... Bethlehem.

Trying to think of something profound and spiritual to say. Nothing coming.
All I can think of is Come Lord Jesus. Thank you God for your mercy in sending Jesus. Lord have mercy.

Merry Christmas everyone.
